Three Newspapers Install News Pro 2 for Content Management

Published: July 11, 2011 Bookmark and Share

A great deal of web sites use WordPress as a way to publish rich media content. Thousands of web sites, including newspapers, use the application to manage their web content. WordPress is in fact a web blog application, but is difficult to customize for a specific project. What' s more, the WordPress application relies on community support for both development and plug-ins.

A Texas newspaper group that manages The Highlander, Burnet Bulletin and The Llano County Journal were using a modified version of WordPress with several plugins to manage the sites for each of these newspapers. Unfortunately, the application was not designed with newspapers in mind. Additionally, WordPress doesn't have technical support available.

Therefore, the group called on JAWS Media to transfer the three sites and install News Pro 2, our robust content management system designed just for newspapers. No more hunting for plug-ins to do something new with their site; JAWS Media delivers any changes or customization to deliver exactly the right site.

The great part about using News Pro is the ability to have it customized to any specific layout. This lack of limitation allows newspapers both great and small to use a single system to publish news content in the way that best fits their publishing practices. This means the "sky is the limit" when it comes to developing a web site look and its functions. If you're looking for an online solution for your newspaper, contact us for a no obligation assessment.
